US MAIL TRAFFIC REPORT – SEPTEMBER 7, 2026
September 7, 2026   Dave Lewis

USPS HAS A STRONG WEEK GOING INTO THE FALL.

In a Labor Day effort to not make me work too hard on a holiday, the Postal Service delivered a strong performance week, beating YTD averages across the board with, of course, the exception of First-Class flats which were dismal.16.6% of First-Class flats were at least 5 days late, which makes me wonder where these flats were for five or more days? Is there a shelf in each facility marked “Ripen FC Flats here?”

Anyhoo, other classes and sizes looked pretty good, far from an upward trend, but at least a break from a bad one. So, keep on mailing, and track that mail!
