SETTLING INTO THE DOLDRUMS OF SUMMER
Not much of a story beyond what the numbers themselves tell you. Performance was a little better than last week, a little better than YTD averages. This is largely what you can expect for the next couple of months. Don’t expect any big changes in service performance through the summer. However, all bets are off once September arrives. We have been seeing an exceptional volume of political mail, even this early in the year. Can’t imagine what we might see in the fall.
Oh, and for you keeping your own scorecard at home, last week did have a Postal holiday, so that does give a bit of a statistical lift.
